Commercial Wine Cellars Project in Orange County, California  

One of the projects completed by Coastal Custom Wine Cellars is at Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club. The luxurious community is located in Orange County, California, a place home to wine stores and restaurants. The clubhouse is 44,000 thousand square-foot with a racquet club, pools, fitness center, tennis courts, and spa.  

The owners contacted the Coastal team to seek help in the renovation of the dining area of their commercial establishment. They wanted to upgrade their restaurant by adding a modern wine cellar that would allow their clients to store and display their private collections at the club. The beautiful wine cellar would also enhance the dining experience of the customers.  

Features of the Modern Metal Wine Racks Perfect for California Commercial Wine Cellars  

The VintageView wine racks used in this commercial wine cellar display the bottles in a label-forward configuration, creating an illusion of bottles floating in mid-air. For maximum storage capacity, the Coastal team installed triple-deep wine racks.  

Two bottles are placed behind the bottle at the front. The racking can accommodate up to 1,380 bottles. There is a display row in the middle of the racking that highlights the finest vintages. Coastal Custom Wine Cellars applied a Platinum finish to give the metal wine racks a stainless steel effect.   

Glass Enclosure: a Modern Way to Showcase Wines in Commercial Wine Cellars

This custom commercial wine cellar has three pairs of doors to allow easier access to the bottles. Thermally insulated glass panels with ½-inch thickness were used for the enclosure of this wine room. Unlike standard glass, tempered glass is much stronger and helps prevent condensation build-up.  

When condensation forms inside the wine cellar, mold will grow and affect the structural integrity of the wine cellar. Moreover, mold can also grow on the cork and contaminate the wine.   

To help keep a stable wine storage environment, it is crucial to equip the doors with sealing components. The Coastal team added weather stripping to seal gaps around the doors and installed an automatic door bottom to give the doors a self-closing mechanism. This mechanical feature will automatically close the doors when someone leaves them open. 

Modern Commercial Wine Cellar Designed for a Restaurant in Malibu, California   

In another project completed by Coastal Custom Wine Cellars, they built a modern wine display area for a restaurant in Malibu, California. The restaurant features glass windows that allow guests to be amazed by the beautiful view of Carbon Beach. It also has a rooftop patio where the diners can have al fresco dining. With careful planning and proper construction, the wine cellar turned out to be the unique feature of the restaurant.  

Metal Wine Rack Design  

The factory-cut metal wine racks from VintageView suit the Zen-inspired interior of the restaurant. There are half-height and floor-to-ceiling wine racks customized to meet the requirements of the owner. The half-height wine racks (3 feet and 4 feet) were placed within the confines of the wooden shelves and finished walls. Below the custom-cut wine racks, you will find the metal X-cube bins. The wine room can store more than 1,500 bottles.   

The floor-to-ceiling wine racks were installed near the glass wall at the front. They are mounted on a steel support beam affixed to the floor and ceiling of the wine room. The metal wine racks are in Black finish, creating a sophisticated look. With a label-forward display configuration, the wine description can be viewed without flipping or removing bottles from the racking. The overall design of the commercial wine racks used in this wine cellar project is designed to attract customers and increased wine sales.
